seamusK-Jen Golden Retrievers was established in 1992 when Seamus joined our family. Little did we know how much this 10 pound ball of fluff would change our lives. With his good looks, outstanding temperament and sense of humor, he charmed us into the wonderful world of Goldens. We have been fanciers ever since!
Two years later, in 1994, we decided Seamus needed more than our Maine Coon Cat look alike, Schatzie, to keep him company. That's when we decided to bring another Golden into the family.seamschatz

In the summer of 1994 Ciara joined K-Jen Goldens as companion for Seamus. Since both Seamus and Ciara were bought as pets and we wanted to be responsible pet owners they were neutered and spayed.

ciaraIn 1995 after attending the Golden Retriever Club Of America's (GRCA) National Specialty, I became very interested in how I could show Seamus and Ciara. I had friends who were competing in obedience, which looked like fun. In 1997 Seamus and Ciara both earned their Companion Dog (CD) title.
Even though I thoroughly enjoyed obedience, I still wanted a Golden I could show in conformation. In the Summer of 1998 Liam joined our family as K-Jen's first show dog. Liam went beyond our dreams and expectations. liam

Liam was an AKC Champion (CH), earned his Companion Dog (CD), Companion Dog Excellent (CDX), his Junior Hunter (JH), Novice Agility Preferred (NAP), Novice Jumpers Preferred (NJP), the GRCA Working Certificate (WC), the GRCA Versatility Certificate (VC) and GRCA Versatility Excellent Certificate (VCX). He has sired AKC Champions (CH) pointed from the puppy classes, Best In Specialty Sweepstakes (BISS), Best Of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes, plus Junior Hunter (JH) , Working Certificate (WC), Companion Dogs (CD) and Companion Dog Excellents (CDX).
kylieOf course the next step was finding a foundation bitch. In 2002, Kylie joined our family and took me beyond my show dreams. Two highlights out of many in Kylie's show career were winning 1st place in the 9 mos. to 12 mos. Sweepstakes Class at the 2002 GRCA National and winning her first conformation points for a five point major at just 18 months old. Ultimately, Kylie finished her AKC Championship quickly and easily at two years old. Unfortunately, because reasons beyond our control, Kylie had to be spayed...
kim

Our fifth Golden, Kim, came to us in 2005 as a stud fee puppy, of course which Liam was the sire. Kim has earned her RN (Rally Novice) Title, CD (Companion Dog) Title and her GRCA CCA (Certificate of Conformation Assessment).  She also is our foundation bitch, producing beautiful, talented and sweet puppies.

tulleyTulley is Kim's first special singleton puppy. Like his mom, he loves life, wants to please and is happiest being busy! Tulley currently has 8 AKC conformation points including multiple BOB wins.

wilbur
Wilbur is Kim's is from Kim's 3rd litter. He is the same breeding as Tulley and also is another singleton. We have high expectations for this little guy.

Thank you for visiting and stay tuned for more to come.
